The province of Guadalajara (Spain) comprises a vast territory in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula, straddling the southern Iberian system, the La Mancha plateau, and the Levantine and Maestracense regions at its easternmost point. This geographical location, combined with the great richness and diversity of its habitats, has resulted in a provincial floristic catalogue estimated at around 2,538 taxa, representing 30 to 35% of the entire Iberian flora.

For each taxa in the catalogue, the scientific name is given down to the species or subspecies level, followed by its corresponding protolog, nomenclatural synonyms, and the common name. Information is provided on the biological type, chorology, bioclimatic zones in which it lives, its edaphic preferences, size, phenology, abundance, and its inclusion in current regulations (regional, national, European, or international) concerning the conservation of threatened species. We include over 260 high-quality photos of species.

For each species in the catalog, an explanatory text is provided, including brief and concise information on its distinctive characteristics (especially in relation to closely related species), its ecology (climate, soil, etc.), and its distribution within the province of Guadalajara.

Iincludes 1,080 distribution maps of the most important species with a 10 × 10 km UTM grid.
