Yangjiang City, Guangdong Province, currently boasts approximately 57 genera and 121 species of orchids, making it one of the richest orchid-producing areas in Guangdong. Many orchid species in Yangjiang City are not recorded in the *Flora of Guangdong*, such as *Paphiopedilum simonii*, *Paphiopedilum sclerotium*, *Cymbidium goeringii*, *Cymbidium faberi*, *Vanilla shensiensis*, *Cymbidium bicolor*, *Liriope muscari*, and *Cymbidium dwarfum* (many of which are nationally protected wild plants). This book is compiled based on the author's extensive field research and photographs of orchids in Yangjiang City.
