Flora Selecta Marroqui. Guia de camp de la flora endemica de Maruecos y norte de Africa. 2001. illus, (col.). 351 p. Paper bd.- In Spanish.
'Selected Moroccan Flora' is a selection of 392 plants from Morocco, the vast majority of which are unknown in Europe (endemics, North African species, etc.). This work offers a series of tours of undoubted botanical interest through the various biogeographical regions into which the country has been divided since ancient times. It also includes 427 original colour photographs by the author and 5 pen-and-ink drawings.
'Selected Moroccan Flora' s designed to introduce botany enthusiasts to a selection of plants from Morocco’s flora. To this end, we have followed two criteria: on the one hand, I have included only species absent from Europe - at least in the wild - many of which are endemic to North Africa, given that European flora is already well represented in numerous guides. Secondly, to keep the book to a reasonable size, we have selected 392 plants based on their greater frequency or the higher likelihood of encountering them. Consequently, it is highly likely that amongst these are many of the plants that any naturalist or botany enthusiast travelling through Morocco might come across but be unable to identify using a guide to the flora of Spain or Europe.
