A familia Asteraceae no Brasil: classificacao e diversidade. 2017. 29 figs. (col. & b/w). 260 p. gr8vo. - In Portuguese, with Latin nomenclature.
The book deals with taxa of the Asteraceae family, considered one of the largest among the angiosperms. The high richness, the changes in the circumscription of genera, as well as the recent classification in subfamilies and tribes, highlight the need for an updated bibliography. Therefore, the articles herein are an effort by botanists and several specialists to demystify the common sense that the genera of Asteraceae are difficult to identify, based on the studies of the first lady botanist in Brazil, Dr. Graziela Maciel Barroso (1912-2003), who contributed greatly to the formation of important sinanthologists, as well as to the knowledge and divulgation of the Asteraceae family in the country, describing new genera and species, as well as preparing monographs, taxonomic revisions and flora studies.
