The purpose of these volumes was to illustrate new or recently described species, and species that had previously been inadequately figured, to describe these with additional chracterizations, full synonymy, and geographical distribution, and also to communicate the results of critical investigations in special genera.The seven volumes cover mostly tropical orchids. There is a strong accent on Philippine and Bornean species.
