This booklet is the second part of the Baltic estuarine zooplankton atlas. It provides information on common planktonic crustaceans from major Baltic estuaries. Descriptions of 28 selected species of planktonic Cladocera and Copepoda are preceded by brief information on their morphology, ecology, feeding habits, and diversity, methodology of sampling and identification, as well as reference publications. Notes on meroplanktonic larvae of some benthic organisms are included. The book is illustrated with 98 linedrawings and 143 original photographs to facilitate species identification. The atlas is intended for university students studying aquatic ecosystems and aquatic ecologists working in the coastal area of the Baltic Sea.
