The brothers William and Thomas Lobb became two of England's most successful plant hunters. William collected in South America and Western North Anerica, and collected seed of the 'Big Tree' popularily known as the Wellingtonia. Thomas travelled through south - east Asia and India in search of orchids, ferns and carnivorous plants. In the Khasiahills of Assam, he found the legendary and beautiful Blue orchid(Vanda coerulea). This book gives a survey of their trips.
