Aims were to study the floristic characteristics of the Greek islands of Rhodos, Khalki, Simi and Tilos in the Dodecanese and what has been termed the "Marmaris peninsula" (Mugla, Marmaris district) in SW Anatolia, together with adjacent small islands and rocky islets that bear no official names and further to carry out an integrated analysis of the phytogeography.
