The taxonomictreatments follow the Angiosperm Phylogeny Group III (APG III) System.The APG III Systems does not update classification of the Pteridophytaand Gymnosperms. Here, the author largely retained the arrangementestablished in the First Edition of his Flora (1896), which is basedon Cronquist's 'Evolution and Classification of Flowering Plants (1968),with some updating based on APG III.
