Aimed at nature enthusiasts and lovers, as well as professional botanists, this work describes the flora of the area in central Italy and provides an important update on regional floristic knowledge, particularly that of the Anagni district. It is the result of over five years of meticulous fieldwork by the author, who retraces the explorations of Cesare Sibilia, a distinguished native of Anagni who graduated in Natural Sciences from the Botanical Institute of Rome and who, in 1924, published the first study on the subject. The author presents the flora of Anagni with scientific rigour: 1,267 taxa belonging to 560 genera and 110 families, all accompanied by photographs of the 1,146 taxa recorded (species and subspecies, both native and non-native). The list of plants follows an up-to-date nomenclature in accordance with the most recent scientific publications; for each taxon, any synonyms, previous bibliographical records, dialectal names and the status of its presence in the studied area are indicated. The work is rounded off with taxonomic ranges and important conservation information.
