More than 300 native species are presented in this second volume, maintaining the purpose of leading the reader to the knowledge of the species of the region and the invitation to observe nature. The central objective, in this way, is to promote the importance of keeping intact the natural environments where the species presented occur, as they are fundamental for the maintenance of life as a whole, home to springs and areas of intense movement of native fauna.

Each species is presented on one page, containing detailed photographs of its parts and textual information. The photographs are authorial and were taken in the field under natural light conditions. The text includes the botanical family, the scientific name currently valid and one or more popular names, as well as the most outstanding characteristics of each plant, the area of occurrence and any curiosities about them.
