The State of Jammu and Kashmir, being typified by a wide array of fascinating diversity, is aptly described as "Mini India". To analyse and enjoy the grandeur of its diversity, people from all walks of life have thronged this region since times immemorial. As a result many a tax having ornamental, medicinal or any other economic attribute got introduced and subsequently acclimatized and can be seen today adoring various parks and gardens of the State. Along with these deliberate introductions, many exotic elements reached here either naturally or accidently as garden escapes and weeds.
