The book provides the historical and geographical features of thevegetation pattern, materials and methods along with detailed taxonomic treatments of the collected species. The unique features lies in providing economic utility of the collected species based on field data and comparison with the established reports of utility. Analytical drawings and field photographs for a vast majority of collected herbaceous flora. A total of 596 species belonging to 142 families of the herbaceous flora have been enumerated out of which 83 species having 34 families represent fern and fern allies and the rest 513 species with 108 families belong to angiosperms. The book made records of some very interesting species as regards to their diverse economic and ethno-botanical features. Includes also reports of some new, rare and threatenedspecies.
