Flora of Hubei (New Edition, 5 volume set) consists of five volumes and contains the known wild and important open-air cultivated vascular plants of Hubei Province, including genus and species names, morphological descriptions, localities, eco-geographical distribution, and medicinal or economic value. Approximately 5,400 species of ferns, gymnosperms, and angiosperms are included. Compared to the 2001 edition, this edition includes new data collected from field surveys of Hubei plants, particularly those in southern and eastern Hubei, significantly enriching the plant diversity of Hubei. Over 1,500 new species have been added, including new genera and species published in recent years.
