The present work is on the Flora of Nallamalais in Andhra Pradesh ofpeninsular India , an underexplored region which has a number ofspecies new to science and species under vulnerable and threatenedcategories. This is also one of the centres of endemism. There are alsoquite a good number of economic species like Dendrocalamus strictusbecoming scarce due to excessive exploitation of the species. The regionis vegetatively very rich, having dry lands and moist regions. There are743 taxa of angiosperms under 109 families and 419 genera.
