Flora si vegetatia Dealurilor Tulcei - Dobrogea de Nord. 2021. illus. 394 p. gr8vo.
The title translates to 'Flora and vegetation of Tulcea Hills - North Dobruja'. Dobruja is a region in Bulgaria and Romania.
Over the years, the author has been able to identify in the field and in the literature, for the region studied, more than 1050 plant taxa, of which more than 430 taxa are identified for the first time by her, and 410 taxa, mentioned in the literature, were also found by the author. This high number of plant taxa identified in the geomorphologically uniform perimeter of the Tulcea Hills reveals the scientific performance of the author of this work.
The work also stands out for the numerous phytocenological data it contains on the territory investigated. The author has identified 47 plant associations in the Tulcei Hills, 45 of which are described on the basis of her own surveys, for the first time in the area, and an association called Teucrio capitatae-Convolvuletum lineatae is described as new to science. The 47 plant associations identified and described in the region are correctly categorized in the national and European cenosystem, being subsumed into 11 vegetation classes, 14 orders and 20 cenotic alliances.
This valuable botanical monograph of the Dobrogea area thus facilitates research access to the wealth of scientific information identified and described in this corner of the country.
