Guide illustré de la Flore de Vanoise. 2022. illus.(col.) 331 p. gr8vo. Paper bd.- In French.
Vanoise massif is a mountain range of the Graian Alps, located in the Western Alps (France). It has a remarkable diversity, which can be explained by the variety of natural environments, themselves linked to variations in altitude and exposure, as well as to the nature of the geological substratum. The Vanoise region is home to the most important groups of arctic-alpine plants, with species such as glacier sedge, arctic rush and boreal tofieldia.
This guide will help the reader recognise more than 450 species of plants commonly found in the Vanoise massif. With abundant illustrations and short descriptions, one will find all the practical advice one needs to identify them and learn more about their ecology, traditional uses and the beliefs associated with them.
