Trinidade (South Trinity) is a Brazilian oceanic island. The presentsurvey of the flora is mainly the result of five expeditions by the author between 1994 to 1998. Each species in the flora is provided withits predominant Raunkiaerian life forms and other relevant data on thechorology, significance to the flora and known distribution. Floristicsimilarities with other volcanic and oceanic islands are brieflydiscussed. Maps of extant and potential vegetation of Trinidade areprovided.
