There are 600 to 700 species of Pedicularis in the world, mainly distributed in the alpine areas of the northern temperate zone, and more than 390 species have been recorded in China. The Illustrated Guide of Pedicularis in China includes 253 species of Pedicularis in China and describes the morphological characteristics, habitat, distribution and other information of each species, and is accompanied by color photos. Pedicularis is divided into 5 major categories and 5 subcategories based on morphological characteristics.
