Lake Phytoplankton of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau* systematically reviews the history and current status of research on lake phytoplankton across the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Based on a comprehensive survey of 91 lakes conducted by the authors' team between 2019 and 2023, the book presents a detailed overview of phytoplankton species composition, biomass, and size structure, as well as their relationships with environmental factors; it further explores ecological niches, diversity, and network characteristics. The findings not only fill a gap regarding long-term data on lake phytoplankton in the region but also provide a solid scientific basis for understanding the ecosystem functions of plateau lakes and their responses to environmental changes.
