A comprehensive botanical dictionary of nomenclatures was last published in Hungarian about half a century ago. To fill this gap, this easy-to-read, state-of-the-art terminology dictionary, containing around 7,000 headwords and rich in graphic material, is a must. The dictionary also includes an etymological analysis of Greek and Latin terms, as their knowledge is essential in communicating with practitioners in the field, helping to interpret botanical nomenclature and to search for information on the World Wide Web. Mycological articles - although it is well known that fungi are not members of the flora - were included in the volume following the example of renowned foreign language botanical dictionaries.
