Arrabida Natural Park is a protected area covering the southernmost margin of the Setubal Peninsula in Portugal.

Arrabida has the unique characteristic of concentrating about half of all Portuguese wild orchid species. In this book you will find fascinating photographs and lots of other information about all of them.

The first part of the book has a background of the geographical area and a didactic introduction to the various aspects of orchid biology, always accompanied by photographs and illustrations. The second, and largest part, is the field guide to the wild orchids of Arrabida, with careful full-page photographs and others that 'intrude' on the text to illustrate the various identifying aspects of each plant.
