This is an illustrated work with at least one image per species. Each family has a genus key and within each genus there are keys that lead us to the species and, where appropriate, to the subspecies. Each species has an index card describing its distinctive morphological characters; this is followed by a paragraph devoted to the ecology of the taxon, and includes a phytosociological category.

The last section is dedicated to the chorology, where the general distribution is given, its presence in the provinces of the Valencian Community and finally the areas of the Valencian territory are specified. The sheet ends with the flowering period and an abundance/rarity cateogory is given.
