The editing team of this book has been engaged in the classification research of Impatiens since the 1990s. They have conducted exploratory research in the aspects of flora survey, classification traits and methods, and the publication of new taxa, and have accumulated a large amount of flora and specimen data. Through years of field investigation, taking high-definition color pictures and collecting a large number of specimens, a total of 222 species (including 4 varieties) of Impatiens have been recorded, including morphological characteristics, geographical distribution, habitat and phenology. The purpose of writing this book is to introduce Chinese Impatiens plants to readers in a relatively systematic and comprehensive manner through concise descriptions and concise text. The book has four chapters. The first three chapters mainly introduce the history of Impatiens classification research, morphological diversity, micromorphological characteristics and trait evolution; Chapter 4 introduces the morphological characteristics, habitat, phenology and floral anatomical photos of Impatiens species in China in a relatively comprehensive manner.
