Poisonous Mushrooms of China is based on the author's decades of fungal resource surveys and taxonomic research. It uses poisoning cases, toxic components and reliable literature as a basis to introduce the history and current status of poisonous mushroom research in China, species and their ecological and geographical distribution, specimen collection and processing, morphological characteristics and identification, poisoning symptom types and their toxic components, poisoning diagnosis and treatment key points, etc. It records 509 species of poisonous mushrooms from 51 families and 126 genera of 8 poisoning types, 26 species of mushrooms whose toxicity is to be determined, and 65 species of poisonous mushrooms whose distribution in China is questionable. It can provide a scientific basis for the rapid identification of poisonous mushrooms and the prevention of poisoning.
