This fifth part of the atlas about RECENT spores of pteridophytesof the State of Rio Grande do Sul presents the study of the familyPolypodiaceae (including Grammitidaceae), represented by the tribePolypodieae and tribe Grammitideae, with a total of 43 species. Thespores are described in detail, with SEM and LM microscopy photographs.As complementary data, a photograph of a representative herbariumexsiccate and a brief morphological diagnosis of the sporophyte, as wellas information about habitat and geographical distribution in RioGrande do Sul are presented for each species.
