This CD offers the results of ethnobotanical research done in 1989in the Democratic Republic of Congo by a multidisciplinary researchgroup of 25 researchers within 60 days in 255 villages and 4towns of 5 districts of the forest province L'Equateur interviewing537 traditional therapists and informants belonging to 51 tribes.The research resulted in the identification of 353 medicinal plants in90 families. 874 local names, and for each plant, brief botanicaldescription, habitat information, medicinal uses are given. Most plantsare illustrated by colour photographs.
