Bellucia: Five of the previously described 27 species are recognized; anew species from Brazil and Bolivia, B. beckii Renner, is described andillustrated; two new combinations are made, B. huberi (Wurdack) Rennerand Miconia cacatin (Aublet) Renner. Loreya: Four new species fromColombia, Peru, Brazil, and Bolivia are described: Loreya klugii Renner,L. riparia Renner, L. wurdackiana Renner, and L. gracilis Renner. Twonew combinations are proposed, L. subrotundifolia (Wurdack) Renner andRenriettea mucronata (Gleason) Renner. Macairea is most diverse in theOrinoco-Rio Negro drainage and in the Gran Sabana (Venezuela); in thesetwo areas 17 of the 22 species are represented. Seven species are foundexclusively at higher elevations on the sandstone mountains of Guayana.Twenty of the previously described 43 species are recognized and two newones, Macairea philipsonii Renner and M. cuieirasii Renner, aredescribed; two species are illustrated.
