Ninety-fourgrasses and one hundred and six forbs and woody plants are described. Each species description includes nomenclature; life span; origin;season of growth; and inflorescence, flower or spikelet, vegetative andgrowth characteristics. Forage value is estimated, and there are briefnotes on habitat, livestock losses (for noxious plants), and historic,medicinal, and food uses.
