Scientists register 36 species of tulips growing in the territory of modern Kazakhstan, including 18 species referred to the category of rare. Some species, having done a long way to Europe in the past, gave rise to Dutch collection of tulip species known all over the world. However, the native area of tulips is Central Asia and, in particular, Kazakhstan.
