The correct planning of green cities is becoming an increasingly urgent priority and a central objective of the European Green Deal. This volume advocates for a broader and more integrated vision, emphasizing the essential role of plants and natural processes in urban planning. Moving beyond purely agronomic considerations, it highlights the importance of ecological principles in shaping sustainable and resilient interventions at local and urban scales.
