Vol. 060: Rohwer, J.G.: Lauraceae: Nectandra. 1993. Illustrated.333 p.gr8vo.Paper cover.
Nectandra is the second largest genus of Lauraceae in the New World. Inthis monograph, 114 species are recognized, but a high proportion of newspecies - 33, many collected only recently - suggests that the realnumber is still higher. The genus is restricted to tropical andsubtropical America, including the Antilles. This study summarizes thegeneral information available for Nectandra, provides illustrations ofthe main diagnostic characters, and discusses the controversialdelimitation and subdivision of the genus.
