Fourty-five species are accepted, eight of them new to science.Thirty one names are considered to be new synonyms of accepted species. Six species are transplaced in other genera. Three species previously described as lichens are shown to be lichenicolous fungi.Nine species are considered to be doubtful or are excluded from the genus. Includes a key to all species of lichenized and corticolous Opegrapha from the Paleotropics.
