This full colour photographic guide covers the central highlands of Namibia. It harbours a high plant diversity, including many endemic species. Over 450 species are covered in this book. The emphasis is on wildflowers, but a few of the most common ferns, grasses and shrubs have also been described. Wherever possible, photographs of the whole plant as well as close-ups of the flower and fruit have been included. A simple description of each plant and a brief overview of distribution, habitat and uses are provided, as well as some common names. Hints of how to tell confusing species apart are also offered.
