The only handbook about the flora of the Peloponnese offering so many illustrations. 1900 species of the approx. 2300 species of the area are illustrated, plus some other 200 are briefly described. Arrangement of the plants is according to the colour of the plant petals,i.e. white,red, etc. For practical reasons ferns, grasses, orchids and trees/shrubs have been treated in separate chapters. Both the scientific names and the respective families are listed in the register, as well as the English names of the genera. Use of this book requires minimal botanical knowledge. Thanks to its handy size it will be a welcome practical field guide.
