A thoroughly revised account of Missouri's vascular flora originally written by the late Julian Steyermark and published in 1963. Overall, 332 new species have been added to the Flora and one-fourth of the names have been changed. New illustrations have been added plus simplified maps generated from a computerized database of specimen. This is volume 1 of 2 volumes and deals with 801 species of ferns, fern allies, conifers, and monocots.
