This monograph deals with the very interesting topic of the flora, biology, and ecology of pyrophytic plants, which is now very popular all over the world. However, there are few such studies in the domestic bibliography.

The field materials for this work were collected by the author together with her husband during their stay in Zambia.

This study includes, among others, a floristic list of pyrophytes with their description, illustrated with the author's original drawings of plants.

A great advantage of this study is the extensive review of the current bibliography in this field, included in the discussion.
