The Altar of Peace (Ara Pacis) was built between 13 BC and 9 BC.The richness of the chosen vegetational elements of such an historicallyimportant monument, and their accurate disposition, highlight how theydo not play only an ornamental role, but appear to be tools of a clearsymbolic - allegoric intention linked to the political manifesto of thebecoming empire.
