Eremolepidaceae is a strictly American family of mistletoes, which iscentered in South America but reaches southern Mexico and the largestCaribbean Islands. It consists of three genera and twelve species; thetype genus Eremolepis is included in Antidaphne. The status ofEremolepidaceae as a family is confirmed, and affinities with earlyLoranthaceae but not with Viscaceae are maintained. In this monograph,two new species are described and five new combinations are proposed.
