Checklist of Vascular Plants of North Asia. (Bei yà wéi guan zhíwù mínglù. 2026.393 p. gr8v0. Paper bd. - Chinese, with Latin nomenclature.
ystematic botanical research in North Asia (the Asian part of Russia) began in the late 19th century. A group of botanists, led by V.L. Komarov, conducted extensive field expeditions and published numerous classic floras; these achievements laid a crucial foundation for understanding the region's plant diversity. Over the past century, more than 300 floras covering various spatial scales have been published. As technology advances into the era of big data, there is an urgent need for fundamental data—such as information on plant diversity and distribution patterns—to support the conservation and utilization of plant diversity in countries along the "Belt and Road." However, since most floras for North Asia are published in Russian, scholars from non-Russian-speaking countries face limitations in accessing and utilizing this information. To address this, we have compiled and organized a vast collection of floristic literature covering North Asia (primarily at the provincial level or broader scales), summarizing the vascular plant checklists—comprising approximately 8,000 species—across 27 distinct regions. Information for each species includes the family name, genus name, scientific name, primary synonyms, and regional distribution range. This work aims to provide foundational data for research in botany, ecology, and related disciplines
