"A Catalog of Lycophytes and Ferns in East China" includes the natural distribution of Lycophytes and Ferns in Fujian, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong, Shanghai and one city in East China. There are a total of 588 species of 115 genera in 35 families (including hybrids, varieties and variants). For each species, list the names, Latin names, and nomenclature original documents, important synonyms, origin in East China, distribution in China and the world, and voucher specimens collected from East China. In addition, also listed are 76 questionable species, mainly referring to the species with distribution in East China recorded in the literature, but no evidence specimens consistent with the type specimens or literature descriptions were found.

Based on the current research results of the phylogenetic taxonomy of lycopodium and ferns, the order of the families in the Catalogue of the Diversity of Lycopodium and Ferns in East China is arranged according to The Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group I (PPG I) system; for convenience, the genus, species and planted in alphabetical order by Latin name.
