This volume contains 102504 names of "family" and "genus", Among them, there are 55,370 Latin names (17,686 correct names, 37684 synonymous names), 25705 Chinese names (17686 correct names, 8019 synonymous names), 11908 English names, 4900 Japanese names, and 4,620 Russian names.

The names are standardized in accordance with the requirements of the International Plant Nomenclature Regulations. There are 3654 entries of section names (1057 entries for correcting names and 2597 entries for synonymous names).

The content of the correct name entry includes scientific names and foreign names, the number of genera and species in the world, the number of Chinese genera and species, distribution, family name patterns, and labels contained in the family. There are 51,716 items for the genus name (16,629 items for the correct name, 35087 items for the synonymous name). The name corrections give the scientific name, publication year, (reserved genus name), Chinese name, foreign name, the family name of the genus, the number of species in the world, the number of species in China, the interpretation and discussion of scientific names, distribution, etc. The scientific names of 15,750 genera are explained.
