This paper is preliminary to a treatment of the Orchidaceae of Fijito be included in Flora Vitiensis Nova (A.C.Smith), discussing details,mostly nomenclatural in nature,of the 63 genera and 168 species to beincluded in that account. Only indigenous and naturalized taxa areincluded.Two new sectional names, ten new specific combinations, twenty-four new species are described.
