In zwei Teilbänden stellt Band 7 der Terralog-Reihe die Agamendes südlichen Asien vor. Der vorliegende erste Teil präsentiert die Unterfamilie Draconinae, die im Folgeband komplettiert wird. Weiterhin umfasst der zweite Teilband die Unterfamilie Leiolepidinae.Von einigen Arten können erstmals Farbfotos gezeigt werden, und in den meisten Fällen ist es gelungen, den Geschlechtsdichromatismus zu illustrieren.
