The object of this volume is a revised classification of the speciesbelonging to the section Macrolespedeza, which are endemic to Asia, into9 species and 2 subspecies including 2 varieties and 8 formas, based ona meticulous dissection of more than 500 flowers under a stereoscopicbinocular microscope, and analysis of the variation in their sizes andshapes, as well as on other morphological characters.
