This volume is in Swedish, with summary in English, and containsillustrations, maps, bibliography, references, facsimiles , and index.-Christopher Tärnström (1711-1746) was the first of Linnaeus' followersto be instructed to study and document flora and fauna outside Europe,hence the name the first Linnaeus apostle. Tärnström travelled aschaplain on the East Indies Ship Calmar and died on 4 Dec. 1746 near Con San in Vietnam. Kristina Söderström transcribed all of Tärnström'smaterial. The book includes an introduction, Tärnström's journals,comments, sources, related literature, etc. Covers a broad spectrumof subjects, e.g. botany , zoology, anthropology, history, etc.
