This is the first complete assemblage of information regarding all of the plant resources of Texas. It is a taxonomic, floristic and, to some extent, economic and ecologic treatment of all the native and naturalized flowering plants and ferns known to occur in Texas. The keys are precise and carefully organised and the descriptions are quite elaborate. There are often critical notes on variation and on general taxonomic importance of the taxa concerned. Furthermore, the manual contains an excellent and very detailed glossary, a list of abbreviations of author's names and an index.
