This collection contains articles on Estonian flora, plants and their research, which the author has published in the last decades in the journal Eesti Loodus and various publications. Although the texts were written at different times, for the current book everything was critically and freshly reviewed and updated. The writings are divided into several major chapters, although these sections are not clearly highlighted in the book.
First, there are writings about uncommon or new plants. The following articles cover heritage communities, scientific collections and the Estonian flora in general. At the end of the collection, the author recalls several researchers of the flora, as well as his own activities on the Laelatu wooded meadow.
