The Monograph ,,EXCURSION FLORA OF THE FORESTS OF SERBIA', in addition to the introduction and a short presentation of the major morphological features significant for the determination and description of forest plants, also presents the review of ferns, gy nosperms and angiosperms - the coenobionts of the forest communities in Serbia. By applying the classical dichotomous system of plant determination, forest species are characterized by the following important data: Latin and vernacular names of the plants, synonyms, morphological descriptions (external morphology, and for the major woody species also the anatomic description), ecological specificities and the forest communities in which they occur. It should be emphasised that, for the sake of easier determination, there is a somewhat more complete morphological description than usual for the floristic keys. Multiannual research and visits to the field are the sources of original photographs in this Monograph. Only a small number of photographs have been taken over from other
sources.
