Flora delle Valli di Lanzo is the result of over fifty years of research in every corner of this territory, of about 10,000 herbarium sheets, 40,000 slides, more than 100,000 digital photos which represent the product of hundreds of field trips, for hundreds of thousands of meters in altitude covered. The random collection was accompanied by research on the environments, accompanied by thousands of hours of work spent sorting the data, processing them and using them as a starting point for further explorations, up to constituting the baggage of knowledge at the basis of the publication.

The result is the discovery of an unexpected floristic biodiversity in an area not so far known particularly for this aspect, which constitutes a further attraction for valleys rich in a naturalistic heritage still to be valorised. The work presents the landscape of the vegetation and flora of the Valli di Lanzo in a way that is useful both to the valley dweller and to the enthusiast, or to the botanist expert, using a scientific but popular language. Finally, the rich and original photographic kit contributes to significantly enriching the research. The book is richly illustrated by colour photographs and dot maps.
